I finally decided to spend some days in Spain and France for this Christmas. I am very addicted to travelling. Why? Believe or not – I work better on the journey. OK, you can start to doubt whether you should believe what’s going to happen next in my travel diary. If you haven’t stopped reading from here, you shouldn’t leave anywhere in the middle. I have a reason for this. You should trust me it’s a good reason, if you keep reading.
I changed my mind and started to pack the day before my departure. I always left too many things at the last minute, which gave me too much pressure and stress to chase for the plane. I think that’s a reason for aging (laughing). It’s my first time to take Ryanair from London Luton. I planned to take the train to London and changed another train to the Luton Airport. W told that actually there was a directly coach from OX to Luton. Unfortunately it took three hours to the airport. I stuck to my original plan. I was still late for the plane. I should make a move earlier!! A very kind woman gave me a free train ticket from King’s Cross to Luton Airport. I very appreciated this! I was trying to make sure that I had everything ready with me this time. I miserably remembered that I forgot to check in online in the train – which is a free option for Ryanair travel. A bad feeling suddenly came to me. I had everything ready – even the downloaded GPS maps, but forgot to check in. I started to use my mobile to access the online check-in page and hope that I still can do it. It said that I had to check in 4 hours before the departure. It was 5.40pm and my flight was 6.55pm. I knew what I had to face was another fighting with time in the airport again. Why was I always the one practicing running in the airport? I thought it’s because that I had a big dream that one day I can run as fast as airplanes. I had to mention that it took me 12 pounds to check-in with a checked luggage in the airport. If you are going to use Ryanair in the future, it’s better to remember to check in online. I was happy that the Gate was 3 and I could possibly spend more time shopping. I still didn’t find a universal power adapter there and didn’t want to be reluctant to buy a UK – Europe one. This caused me a big trouble on the first day in Spain.
Around 6.30, I thought everyone must be in the plane and I should walk down to the gate. It turned out that Gate three was the fastest gate from the shopping area. The airport had a reversed numbering system. Sigh~ I was running again.
