Ramble on the Internet

A first glance at night in Girona

17 December 2007
I hardly felt alone when I did fly alone. I believe a lonely feeling only comes when being invited – not the residue left by so-called broken love at all. My dear parents and friends, please don’t worry that I flied alone – I glanced at three magazines, slept for a while and went to toilet three times.
It is always good to talk to people when you were traveling. A kind woman told me that I need to buy the bus ticket first and the bus will be coming in 5 minutes in Spanish. Although, I didn’t understand what she was saying, but I grasped the meaning by her gesture. In order not to end up at Barcelona in the middle night, I double checked that the bus was definitely going to Girona. I did a good thing by cross-checking. The couple I asked actually didn’t know either and they didn’t book any hotel at all. I gave them the address of my hotel and was quite happy to see them again later in the hotel. I should have showed them to the hotel, but I was worried that Y might think I was too much trouble to recruit the picking-up team.
We walked around the old town and had a look at the Cathedral outside. Then we went to Konig and had very tasty hamburgers and Sammiguel cerveza(beer) at around half past eleven. People eat very late in Spain. We went to a Irish bar later and I think I got a general idea about Y’s study life in Spain.
