It’s my first time to take the Eurostar. I have said that I would never take that euroline again. I had one interview with T and one brief meeting with E. Then I need to pack my luggage. C suggestted me leaving earlier – less stressful. I don’t like waiting in a station, but I am going to relax a bit this time. It’s like fighting with time when I am packing. It turned out to be a quite heavy suitcase. It’s not for travelling and I need all my suits and shoes. Everything was going well until I realised that I didn’t prepare any money for at least today. I tried to exchange some in the station, but apparently I didn’t have enough money in my account. I was broke…and I need to pay my rent tomorrow…sigh.
I was still careless. I tried to get into the gate and they informed me that my ticket was for September. What?! Oh, my god. I found out another set of ticket. Fortunately it’s exactly the same train at the same departure time. Oh, god, thanks! You saved me.
It’s all confortable. I did a bit tidy-up, a bit sleep, and a bit food. Then there was an announcement in French – There was a TGV borken down on the way to Paris. Our train had to stop and pick up all passengers from TGV. Thus the train was delayed for about two hours when I got to Paris. V is very nice. She waited for me. However, everything changed. It’s another world, because I don’t speak French. After everything was settled, it’s around 12pm, I need to get up at 7am the next day and start to work. My summer just started.
I get the early train every week in the morning to Lille, but it’s not bad journey time is just over an hour, compared to ferry or planes.
