Ramble on the Internet

Interview

I started to talk to research administrators at different departments to negotiate the access. I was so surprised that they were so nice to me – patient, helpful and kind. I enjoyed talking to them. I had a quite tight schedule. One day, I need to go to three departments for interviews. It’s also very interesting to see how people behave differently on the same questions I was approaching. I am glad it worked out. This is only a start – tough ones are following up. Am I ready?

Analysis of learning

Recently, I have been thinking of how to analyse learning. At first, I need the data that is suitable and useful for the analysis. Struggling, but things become more and more interesting. I cannot wait for this exploratory journey.

Review

Although I have told myself several times that I shouldn’t leave everything at the last minute. I still do…Really, somehow, there is too much work for me to do. I start to learn how to say no to people and focus on my own study. I have been wondering around for a while to try to get involved in more projects for my study and social activities for my life. I think it’s time for me to seriously consider the dissertation and my future. I was rumbling that I have done so little last year and I am really behind my schedule for everything. I am tidying up my desk today. I just realise that every little achievement I have made so far actually has been based on so much work earlier. I have been through different places in this research journey and finally came here. It is not easy and I should keep a research journal for myself.
I gave a talk and I should have prepared it well. I should have reviewed what I have done more promptly. Curious about my memory…It sucks.

Onenote web exporter

Following the previous post, I started to use the Macbook in the office and Windows at home now. Because I couldn’t transfer all the notes file from Windows to Mac, I came down to use this web exporter to make all my notes as an interactive website. Then I can always look up it when I am working on Mac. This add-on didn’t work well on my Vista. The global icon faded away and nothing happened. I had to use the command line to generate web pages for my notebooks. It’s not bad. At least, it’s all done. I am happily working on Mac and writing this post.
