Ramble on the Internet

Attention, please

It’s always good to backup the data. I never know whether my computer can be switched on once I turn her off. It’s the third time this week that my computer teased me.

Last night, I was reading and editing my report. I noticed that she got the fever. I sensed that there might be something wrong. She has been through all these difficult times this week. I switched her off. Opened the window and put her on the windowsill for the fresh air. When she cooled down, I gave her a bath. Everything is just perfect. I planned to email my supervisors my report today. When I pressed the switch on button, the odd thing happened. She went nowhere, but showed me “Fan Error” on that ugly black face. OH! I tried several times, no luck at all. I was really upset about her. I did feel that I was totally a nerd as D said – Who else does work at night and feels miserable when the work cannot be accessed. I should be happy for one day off. Sigh…miserable. It’s back to normal now because I tickled the fan by using a small needle. I think she got strike just because I didn’t take her feeling seriously. She wanted my attention. So does this in the real world.

My computer got sick before me. I thought I was going to get sick soon if I kept having this terrible sleeping pattern. I felt very blank that I couldn’t get any work done. The computer is finally reinstalled.

The Spring Festival is approaching

Another year away from home. I don’t have quite strong feeling of being alone for this. I talked to my parents on the phone quite a lot. I told them what I usually did and asked for their advice. Mum and Dad were amazing that they always knew what was going on in England and always provided me most useful information. With regard to the Spring Festival, I think I am quite happy that at least I did offer a bit of help with two celebrations, one for OXCSSA and one for my college. I am being useful – this is moment that I feel pleased.
